The Dual Market of Helo Enthusiasts

The Dual Market of Helo Enthusiasts

Much of the hype surrounding wearable technology today is concerned with the fitness freak who wants the most stylish wearable that gives the most accurate and comprehensive tracking of workouts, walks, etc.

Helo covers that market well.

But there is a secondary market which we'll just call HEALTH MONITORING that is not so hyped or even known about by the general public but which has deep implications for the future of health care.  For example, consider this article from ENGINEERING IN MEDICINE AND BIOLOGY MAGAZINE:

Wearable sensors and systems have evolved to the point that they can be considered ready for clinical application. This is due not only to the tremendous increase in research efforts devoted to this area in the past few years but also
to the large number of companies that have recently started investing aggressively in the development of wearable products for clinical applications. Stable trends showing a growth in the use of this technology suggest that soon wearable systems will be part of routine clinical evaluations.
The interest for wearable systems originates from the need for monitoring patients over extensive periods of time. If observations over one
or two days are satisfactory, ambulatory systems can be utilized to gather physiological data. An obvious example is the use of ambulatory systems for ECG monitoring, which has been part of the routine evaluation of cardiovascular patients for almost three decades.
Wearable systems are totally nonobtrusive devices that allow physicians to overcome the limitations of ambulatory technology and provide a response to the need for monitoring individuals over weeks or even months.

No other device can serve the emerging fitness-tracking and health-monitoring markets like the Helo.
